For today’s Simple Sunday, I’m sharing a clean and elegant thank-you card featuring the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies.
After hot foiling the beautiful butterfly images, I added soft washes of color with a Blending Brush using Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party. I love how the colors gently blend together while allowing the gorgeous shine from the hot foil to remain the star of the show!
To add a little extra detail without taking away from the simplicity of the card, I created score lines along the left side and bottom of the Basic White cardstock. It’s such an easy technique, but it adds wonderful texture and interest.
The “Thanks” sentiment is from the Simply Leaves Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Silver to coordinate beautifully with the foiled butterflies.
I also carried one of the butterflies to the inside of the card for a sweet finishing touch.
Sometimes a simple card can still have plenty of special details—and this one certainly does!
