Today’s Simple Sunday project is a sweet and festive Christmas card featuring the Merriest Tags Dies from Stampin’ Up!
I kept the design fairly simple while still adding plenty of detail. The adorable stockings, candy canes, and greenery make such a fun Christmas focal point. I colored the images with Stampin’ Blends Markers, which made it easy to add beautiful, rich color while keeping everything nice and crisp.
For the background, I added texture to the Basic White layer before layering it onto the Granny Apple Green and Real Red cardstock. I colored a few rhinestones with the Real Red Stampin’ Blends Dark Marker. The embellishments add just the right amount of sparkle without taking away from the clean design.
I also carried the candy cane theme to the inside of the card. It’s a simple little detail, but I love how it makes the inside feel finished too.

This is exactly what I love about Simple Sunday—a card that is easy to recreate but still has those special details that make a handmade card beautiful.
