Welcome to Makeover Monday!!
I love added detail on a card. By adding a few elements, you can dramatically change the look of your card.
The image is heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder and watercolored with Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay Ink. I added a few layers, a die cut and a second butterfly that I fussy cut and placed directly over the original.
The inside is simple, but elegant.
Here are the cutting dimensions:
Highland Heather, 11 X 4-1/4, score at 5-1/2
Shimmery White, 5-1/8 X 3-7/8
Shimmery White, 5 X 3-3/4, emboss with the Subtle EF
Highland Heather, 4-1/8 X 3-3/8
Hydrangea Hill DSP, 4 X 3-1/4
Highland Heather, 2-3/4 X 2-3/4, die cut
Shimmery White, 2-3/4 X 2-3/4, die cut
Highland Heather scrap
Shimmery White, 5-1/8 X 3-7/8
Shimmery White, 5 X 3-3/4
I seem to always prefer a more “stepped up” card. I would love to hear what you prefer in the comments.
I love this card with the simple but elegant images and all the purple DSPs. Your coloring is so awesome. I definitely need practice with watercoloring. Enjoy your day!
Gorgeous!!! I love your idea of using silver EP and your water colored butterfly is beautiful!
