Hello, my crafty friends! 🌻
Sunflowers always seem to bring a little sunshine to the craft room, and these projects were so much fun to create! For this week’s Thursday YouTube Live, I featured the beautiful Radiant Sunflowers Bundle, available beginning September 1.
For my first card, I stamped the sunflower images and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers. I love how the coloring brings all of the details in the flowers and leaves to life. I layered the floral arrangement over the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper and added a pretty coordinating ribbon, a few embellishments, and a “Thinking of You” sentiment.
For the second card, I wanted to show a completely different way to use the same bundle. Instead of stamping and coloring the flowers, I created the sunflowers with the coordinating dies. The layered die cuts add wonderful dimension and texture while still keeping the card fairly simple. A little more Sunflower Fields DSP ties the two projects together beautifully.
I also added embossed backgrounds and layers to both cards for a little extra texture and detail.
I love being able to take one bundle and create two completely different looks! Which do you prefer—the Stampin’ Blends version or the die-cut version? I would love to hear your favorite in the comments!
