Today’s Simple Sunday card features the beautiful Elegant Leaves Bundle, available beginning September 1. I kept the color palette simple and elegant with Blackberry Bliss and Very Vanilla—a combination that is perfect for fall!
The leaves are created using a two-step stamping technique. For the softer background image, I stamped off the ink first before stamping onto the Very Vanilla cardstock. The detailed image was then stamped over the top, and the leaves were cut out with the coordinating dies.
For a little texture, I embossed the Very Vanilla background with the Perfectly Plaid Embossing Folder. A Linen Thread bow adds just the right finishing touch without taking away from those gorgeous leaves.
The sentiment was die cut using the Sweet Words & Labels Dies and layered across the center of the card.
Of course, I couldn’t leave the inside plain! I carried the design through by stamping several leaves along the edges, leaving plenty of room for a handwritten message.
I love the simplicity of this card and how the rich Blackberry Bliss makes those leaves pop. Be sure to come back tomorrow for Makeover Monday, when I’ll step this card up with a few extra details!
