HAPPY HOME BREAKFAST CLUB CARD

I am ready for Spring or at least Valentine’s Day!!  This morning’s Breakfast Club card is like a breath of fresh air.

JULIE’S TIPS:

  • Wipe the surface with a embossing buddy before stamping with Versa Mark to prevent attracting any unwanted embossing powder.
  • Use a piece of wax paper in-between the window frame and the silver foil paper so that it is easily removed from the die.
  • Corrugated paper works great for the window sill to add texture.
  • Save 15% when you bundle the Happy Home Stamp Set and the Hearth & Home Framelits.

PROJECT DIRECTIONS:

  • 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 Whisper White, scored at 4-1/4
  • 5-1/4 x 4 Pink Pirouette
  • 5 x 3-3/4 Whisper White, emboss with Brick Wall Embossing Folder
  • 3 x 3-1/4 Silver Foil, run through Big Shot with Window Framelit
  • 2-1/2 x 2-3/4 Shimmery White, stamp image with VersaMark and heat emboss with Silver Embossing Powder, color with Aqua Painter and Pear Pizzazz ink
  • 3-1/2 x 1 White Corrugate Paper, run through Big Shot with Window Sill Framelit
  • Embellish with Pink Pirouette ribbon and Blushing Bride hearts

REASON FOR THE SEASON AND A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR RINA

Today I hosted a birthday party for a special little girl.  Her name is Rina.   Her mother, Keiko attends my monthly card making classes that I hold for the many Japanese ladies that have been transferred to the US with their husbands.

Here is a picture of all the girls that attended Rina’s party.

Tomorrow I will post the cards we made.

For this week’s Breakfast Club card, I inked up a new stamp set that I wasn’t sure what to do with.  I think it turned out really pretty.  I stamped the image twice on Shimmery White CS, and embossed them in gold.  I watercolored with Aqua Painters using Real Red and Pear Pizzazz.  Finally, I fussy cut them out.

What do you think?

Stampin Up!! Golden Festival of Trees and Sale on Selected Products!!!

I love the simple but beautiful look of this Christmas Card.  I chose Very Vanilla Card Stock and Gold Embossing Powder to complete the elegant look of this card.

Every week, I hold Breakfast Club classes where you make one beautiful card.  This is the card we made last Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  If you would like more information about this class or would like to attend, please email me at juliegmi@aol.com.  Everyone is welcome!!

STAMPINGALA TIPS:

When stamping the image, start with the middle tree.  I used a centering ruler, however you can simply mark the center of the card stock with a pencil.  Stamp the middle tree making sure that the top of the tree is pointed at the center mark.  Then continue with either side paying close attention to the side of the card stock.  I stamped the image approximately 1/8″ from each side of the card stock.
